This estate belonged to the Montaigne family. Sold in 1920 to the Ducau family, who associated the Gaudiet estate with it, it then took the name of Loupiac Gaudiet. The vineyard is well exposed, on hillsides overlooking the Garonne. The harvest, entirely manual, takes place from the beginning of October to mid-November. Only grapes affected by botrytis Cirenea, the noble rot which gives rise to sweet wines, are harvested.
