Chasse-Spleen 1992 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot . The wine is aged for 12 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new. The 1992 vintage had a cold winter that eventually turned into a warm spring causing early flowering. However, these mild conditions did not last as the summer saw the most precipitation of any summer in the last 50 years. This led to a burst of growth and green harvesting was a necessity. A cool September might have recovered the vintage, but the continuous downpour during the October harvest period did not improve the situation. Some tears to the label as seem in the image.
