A collection of seven of the ‘Feis Ile’ bottlings from the 2016 Islay Festival.
Each bottle is in excellent condition and where applicable they all come in gift bags or gift boxes. The Finlaggan and Bruichladdich were not supplied with boxes.
The Lagavulin is an 18 year old that was matured in refill American oak hogsheads and European oak ex Bodega Sherry Butts. Bottled at 49.5%.
The Bowmore does not carry an age statement and was aged in American Virgin oak and European Oloroso Sherry casks. Bottled at 54.9%.
The Ardbeg Dark Cove was matured in ex-Bourbon as well as dark Sherry casks. Bottled at 46.5%.
The Caol Ila is a 12 year old single malt aged in refill American oak hogsheads and European oak ex-Bodega Sherry Butts. Bottled at 56.2%.
The Bruichladdich is a vatting of casks that were distilled in 2001 when the distillery reopened. The spirit was peated to 10ppm and matured for 14 years in a combination of 1st fill ex-Bourbon, Sherry and French wine casks. It was then finished in virgin oak. Bottled at 50%. This bottle is signed by the Master Distiller (pictured).
The Kilchoman was distilled in December 2007 and aged in a single Oloroso Sherry Butt before being bottled in May 2016. Cask number 429/2007. Bottled at 56.6%
The Finlaggan is bottled from a single hogshead and is limited to just 350 bottles. Distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2016 at 50%.
